Driver Charged for Sleeping While Speeding in Self-Driving Car

A 20-year-old man in Canada has been charged with dangerous driving after he was allegedly caught sleeping behind the wheel of a speeding self-driving car on July 9.

Police say that both the driver and the passenger in the Tesla Model S appeared to be asleep while traveling along a road near Ponoka, which is about 100 kilometers south of Edmonton, Alberta. Police say the car was traveling at 150 kilometers per hour, 40 kilometers over the speed limit.

When police tried to get them to stop by turning on their emergency lights, other vehicles moved out of the way, but the Tesla sped up as the road cleared ahead.

講師Neohに、日本のお金持ちは２酸化炭素をいっぱい排出してるかと聞かれたので、

プライベートジェットのオーナーがあるYoutuberを海水浴に誘い、ジェットで、海までひとっ飛びした話をした。

 

ガソリンは安いらしいけど、たった3名で大量の2酸化炭素まき散らして海へ。機内はすごく熱いらしい。そのせいか、Youtuberは”バスで帰ります”👏と。なので1名でまき散らしながら帰った。

空気汚して、機内は灼熱地獄でなにかメリットあるのかな？

The world's richest 1% have created more than double the carbon emissions of the 3.1 billion people who make up the poorest half of the global population, according to a report by Oxfam.

Confronting Carbon Inequality looks at consumption emissions — the emissions created by the things people buy and how they live — for different income groups between 1990 and 2015. In those 25 years, annual carbon emissions grew by 60%, approximately doubling how much carbon dioxide is in the atmosphere.

 

The report says the poorest half of the global population was responsible for 7% of emissions during this time, while the wealthiest 1% — about 63 million people — created 15% of emissions. The research also found that the total increase in carbon emissions of the richest 1% was three times more than the increase in emissions among the poorest half of the world.

President Donald Trump said early Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19, just a month before the US presidential election.

 

Trump, who has spent much of the year downplaying the threat of a virus that has killed more than 205,000 Americans, said he and Mrs. Trump were quarantining.

37. 年金按分 家庭裁判所へ審判の申し立て （３）

離婚後の情報通知書が年金事務所より送られてきた

元夫はあん分割５：５を拒否している。私は絶対頂きたい。権利がある。だから家庭裁判所で戦うのだ。

拒否する理由が会社へ通うため辛い朝6時起床。それ普通じゃないですか？　100才まで生きるつもりだからとか。意外と早死にかもよ。確かに勝手に物事を判断して決めちゃう人だったけど、寿命なんてわかりませんよ。

いよいよ家庭裁判所での手続きに進む　善は急げ！

厚生労働大臣等に対する年金分割の請求手続は，原則として，離婚をした日の翌日から起算して2年を経過した場合には，家庭裁判所に対して審判又は調停の申立てをすることはできまないらしからね。

特にグズグズ、ダラダラ引き延ばすのがお得意になってしまった元夫。更に悪知恵までついちゃったから。 即やらなければ！

審判or 調停

審判または調停が選べるが、審判にした。理由は審判は私の近くの裁判所で手続きができるから。

審判の場合，申立人又は相手方の住所地の家庭裁判所又は当事者が合意で定める家庭裁判所

調停の場合，相手方の住所地の家庭裁判所又は当事者が合意で定める家庭裁判所

裁判所に出向くとなると近い方が何かと便利。元夫は県内のもう一つの裁判所の近くに住んでいることはわかっていた。　そちらには足を運びたくはない。

2018,9,19 はじめて 家庭裁判所へ向かう。9月だというのに異常に暑い。以前通ったことのあるハローワークのすぐ近く。あの時はここに家庭裁判所と言うものがあるんだなぁと他人事のように眺めていた。まさか実際に中に入って申し立てをすることになるとはね。

　 申立書、収入印紙、切手、そして離婚後の情報通知書を提出

家庭裁判所で申立書を記入し、　収入印紙、連絡用切手を隣のビルで購入。離婚後の情報通知書の原本とともに提出する。

都合がいい曜日、火曜または金曜、午前または午後かを問われた。ほぼ１カ月後に呼び出しがあるそうだ。

渡された申立書を記入していると、ある一室から、低い声が聞こえた。

1カ月後にはここで私がそうしているんだ。

 審判の心構え

いよいよ審判だ。呼び出されたとき、何を尋ねられる？何を言えばいいんだろう。

パートで働きながら、子供の世話はほとんど私がしてきました。

夫が働きやすいよう。家事もがんばり、協力もしてきたつもりです。でいいのかな？大丈夫。私に落ち度は見当たらない。ここまでがんばってやってきたんだから上手く行くはず。

そんなことを考えながら、教えられた隣のビルで収入印紙と切手のを購入。こんなにたくさん連絡用切手が必要ってことは書類がいっぱい届くのかなあ。

記入した申立書、切手、収入印紙、そして年金事務所から届いた離婚後の『年金分割のための情報通知書』を提出し、記入漏れのチェックを受けている時、

『情報通知書は原本を提出してください。』

しまった！　大切なものだからとコピーをとり、家に原本を置いてきてしまった。

郵送でも受け付けてくれるそうだが、次週　9月26日に出直して耳をそろえて提出完了！

帰りにフードコートでラーメンをすすった。今はフードコートから姿が消えた寿がきや。なんともおいしい。　その日は特別な味だった。　

すーちゃん感謝するよ。 とっても余談だけど、food court のcourtは裁判所という意味もある。柵で囲まれた庭が由来。宮廷、はたまた求愛と意味もあった。

そのうち、裁判所から元夫に審判の連絡が行くだろう。さてどう出るかな。どう出ようと、

待合スペースのベンチでは近所のお年寄りが談笑。確実に裁判所とは無関係な人たち。まだまだ暑い。確かに涼むには持って来いの場所。誰もいない、静寂な空間。おかげで緊張がとけた。

36. 離婚後の厚生年金分割 情報通知書請求手続き（２）

離婚前に年金分割情報通知書を請求し、おおよその年金受給額を確認⇒離婚⇒今度が本番！

    離婚後の請求は双方に情報通知書が届く

離婚証明のため、戸籍謄本ではなく除籍謄本を取り寄せる

元妻である証明のため免許証のcopyと郵便為替を同封し、元夫の戸籍がある市役所へ郵便で請求した。

年金手帳

年金事務所にあらかじめ電話で予約をしておけば、待ち時間が少なくなる。

標準報酬改正請求書の用紙が渡された。次回、合意分割請求手続きをするときに必要な書類。

年金事務所から情報通知書が届けば、裁判所へ審判または調停の手続きができる。

年金事務所も2回目となり、少し緊張が解けたものの、次は裁判所となると更に身が引きしまる思い。

ただ、双方が合意できる場合は二人で年金事務所へ出向くことになる。代理人をたてれば、顔を合わせずに済ませることもできる。

元夫が合意分割に同意してくれさえすれば、家庭裁判所への申し立てをしなくて済んだのに。

余談だがここの年金事務所の駐車場が狭くて異常に細長い。1回目は頭から突っ込んでしまった。

バックで入れないと、帰りがとっても出にくい。この時はまだ元夫の普通車を共有しており、駐車するだけでもう汗だく。

帰りにスタバで一息。

次は家庭裁判所だ。ゴールは目の前。

里帰り出産で滞在していた娘と孫は自宅にもどり動きやすくはなったものの、まだまだ暑い　2018年9月3日であった。

初期設定やってみたー２台目ノートパソコンlenovo

まずは初期設定ですね。まったく自信はないのですが、

２台目ということで、Wi=Fi環境OK

そして、インターネット接続もOK

　　だからできるよね

と自分を奮い立たせてとりかかりました。

初期設定

まず古いPCで、YouTubeで初期設定の解説を見ながら、となりにNEW PCを並べて、説明通り追っていきます。

それと同時進行で、

Lenovoの場合、PCを起動すると、ちょっと変わった語り口調なのですが、ナレーションが初期設定を導いてくれるんですよね。それに従えばできるようになってました。

もし、わからなければ、カスタマーサポートに無料で尋ねることができるLenovoを選んだのですが、お世話になることもなくできました。

回復ドライブ　作成

不具合が起きた時、工場出荷時と同じような状態に戻せるように、USB フラッシュメモリに PC 初期化用のデータを保存しとくのだそうです。

回復ドライブ作成方法をググって　トライしました。

３時間くらいかな？時間がかかるので余裕のある時にしましょう。

とりあえずこれでPCは使えるので細かい設定はおいおいしていくつもりです。

古いPCは富士通です。中古をもらったのでどんだけ古いのかわかりませんがかなりの年代物であることは間違いない。

NEW ってすばらしい。感激！　いろんな機能に驚く！

Lenovoがいいのか、どうかは比較できないのでわかりませんが、私は基本的なことができればいいので満足です。

それから、以上に静かっていうか、なんの音もしない。

まさに無音

ストレスフリーです。

熱も持たない

古いのはブンブン唸ってたからね。その音だけでストレス。

on line 英会話の講師に、”エンジンルームにいるみたい。”と言われたほど。

キーボードカバー代替え品

ただね、文鳥が餌のペレット(ドッグフードの小粒版）を一粒ずつ持ってきては、キーボードの上でかみ砕いて、粉を落としつつ食べるんですよね。

食べてるところを私に見ててほしいらしい。

もちろんフンも、わざわざPCの上で落とす習性がある。

キーボード用シリコンカバーが、とってもお高いから、ホームセンターで、　コロナ感染対策のため仕切ってるあの塩ビシートを買って、文鳥がやってくると、ササーっとキーボードをカバーします。

カバーしたままでも、タイプできますが、コピーペーストがちょっとし難いかな。

👆よりも薄めのシート、厚みが0,1mmを使用してます。余談ですが窓にこの塩ビシートでカーテンのように覆って寒さ対策してます。ホームセンターで切り売りしてますよ。

カバーした状態でも感度もよくて、文鳥２２ｇでさえにも反応します。(';')

PCの前で食べたり飲んだりするときにカバーしておくと安心ですよね。

と言うわけで　快適なパソコンライフをエンジョイしてます。文鳥といっしょに。

2台目ノートパソコン・ラップトップlenovoV330 を注文するまでl

ノートパソコン買い替えざるえない状況に。。。

ついにノートパソコン注文しました。現在使用中のｐｃが、あまりにもご機嫌斜めで、、、、これ以上老体に鞭打つのもかわいそうに思い、買い替えることにした。

ずーと新しいPCに替えたいと考えてはいたが、いざとなると何を選べばいいのかさっぱりわからん。

もうちょいこの古いのでいいかな。まだ動くし、慣れているしと先延ばししてきたけど、もう限界だ。クリックしても反応したりしなかったりで、お手上げ。イライラが募るばかり。

テクニカルサポート 

2台目と言えども、ｐｃに弱いといか、怖いのである。その為テクニカルサポートのしっかりしているメーカーをまずチェック。NＥＣ，EPSON、LENOVOにしぼった。　free call, チャットで質問できないと不安だからね。

やっぱりコスパでlenovoにほぼ決定。日本製はお高いです。

大き目の画面15.6型

私のこだわりは、現在のと同じ大きな画面15,6型。室内移動はするけど持ち運ばないので２㎏あっても大丈夫。

その後タッチパネルは絶対便利だという情報を得た。なるほどね。

これで決まるかと思ったが、またまた情報が。。。

タッチパネルor光学ドライブ

私はTV持ってないから、DVDはPCで見るしかない。えーっ　最近の薄型のカッコいいのは光学ドライブついてないんだ　ガーン

だから薄いし、ぐるっと逆立ちもできるんだね。

とにかく、タッチパネルと光学ドライブ付きを探しまくった。

無い　ない　ナイ

探し疲れて　lenovoのチャットで聞いてみたら、ないそうだ。

それで光学ドライブだけついてるのを聞くと

V330 を教えてくれた。

4種のうち2種はすでにsold out　なので必然的に８GBの81AXO1BVJPに決定。

購入画面に進まない

朝から探し始め、結局お昼を過ぎてしまった。よーし腹が決まったところで、遅い昼食。

そして、入力開始。クーポンコード押して半額にしてと。これを忘れちゃ水の泡ですからね。購入画面でクレジットカードを入力したところで白いドットがグルグルローリングがとまらない。

購入できたかどうか不明のため、もう一度チャットで確認すると、購入済の画面も現れず、メールもきてないってことは購入できてないってことだそうだ。

クレジットカードを替えてもう一度トライ。やっぱりグルグル回り続ける。永遠に止まりそうにない。

free ダイヤルで電話すると、意外とすぐにつながった。こういう場合があるので、デバイスやブラウザーをかえてみてくださいとのこと。電話でも購入できるが、銀行振り込みのみ。７万円のポイントは大きいもんね。

今度はｐｃでトライしたが、何しろ機嫌が悪く日本語変換してくれない。ローマ字でいいのかしらん？不安になり、最後にスマホでもう一回やってみた。

おおっ　やったー！

ついに購入できました。たぶんですが、半額セール終了間際で込み合ってたんじゃないかな。連休だし。

とにかく注文までは完了。1週間後には届くでしょう。それまで老体PCがんばっておくれー頼むよ。

Elon Musk's startup company, Neuralink, wants to one day implant computer chips inside the human brain. The goal is to develop implants that can treat brain disorders — and that may one day be powerful enough to allow humanity to compete with possible future superintelligent computers.

Researchers say the amount of sleep a person needs changes depending on their genes and their body's internal clock, called the circadian rhythm.

Around 10 years ago, Fu discovered a gene mutation linked to shorter sleep.

A new study published in Cell Systems has found a more accurate way to translate dog years into human years.

The commonly held belief has been that every year of a dog's life is the same as seven years in a human life. So if your dog is 3 years old, it would be the same age as a 21-year-old human.

But researchers from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine have debunked that belief. "A 9-month-old dog can have puppies, so we already knew that the 1-to-7 ratio wasn't an accurate measure of age," said senior author Trey Ideker.

The first, called "Learn," offers a basic understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphics. In the second, called "Play," users can create and send messages using hieroglyphic symbols. The third, called "Work," is a tool that can help researchers translate the symbols. It is available in English and Arabic.

Dr. Roland Enmarch of the University of Liverpool told the BBC that Google's tool is "impressive," but does not yet replace the need for experts in reading ancient writing.

Google hopes that it can build a bigger database as users add to it. The tool is named after Georg Fabricius, a 16th-century German poet, historian and archaeologist who studied ancient Roman inscriptions.

We are now able to translate hieroglyphics thanks to the Rosetta Stone, which was found by soldiers in Napoleon's army in 1799. Made in 196 BC, it has the same message written in three different ways: in hieroglyphics, which were used by Egypt's priests; in Demotic, which was used by the common people of Egypt; and in Ancient Greek, since Greece ruled Egypt at the time.

This allowed scholars who could read Ancient Greek to use the stone to finally begin translating the writing of ancient Egypt. The first modern person to read the hieroglyphics on the Rosetta Stone was the Frenchman Jean-Francois Champollion, who revealed his findings in 1822.

While we may have had to say goodbye to some of our favorite heroes in the Avengers： Endgame movie, life is just beginning for some insects recently named after Marvel characters.

According to Dr. Bryan Lessard of Australia's national science agency, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), only a quarter of the insects in Australia are known to science.

CSIRO is working to increase that number, and it starts by giving insects names. "Without a scientific name, these species are invisible to science," Lessard said.

In the past year, CSIRO scientists gave names to 165 new species, including 151 insects, eight plants, three birds, two fish and one type of mite. Among the insects, five were named after popular characters from Marvel movies and comic books.

 

Marvel owes much of its success to Stan Lee, who helped create characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor and Black Widow. Before he died in 2018, Lee could often be seen briefly in many of the company's movies. The fly Daptolestes leei, which looks like it has Lee's glasses and mustache, was named in his honor.

Thor and his brother Loki both had flies named after them. Daptolestes bronteflavus, which means "blond thunder" in Latin, represents Thor. Daptolestes illusiolautus, or "elegant deception," is perfect for Loki, the god of tricks.

Black Widow, the first female Avenger in the movie series, also got a fly. Representing her is the name Daptolestes feminategus, which means "woman wearing leather."

Perhaps the easiest to spot is Deadpool. Named by Isabella Robinson, an undergraduate student working with CSIRO, the red and black Humorolethalis sergius looks like Deadpool's mask. While Humorolethalis is similar to the words "lethal humor," the name has a double meaning: Humorosus means "wet" and lethalis means "dead," referring to the hero's name.

Dr. Lessard has also named other species outside of Marvel movies, including the gold-bottomed horse fly he named after Beyoncé in 2012. He says that while studying the new species, Plinthina beyonceae, he was listening to the pop star's music.
