ペットブームってなんなんでしょう。自分のペットだけが愛玩動物ではなく、野生動物、家畜、すべての動物に残酷な生活を強いられることなく幸せであってほしいものです。
4才ころでしょうか、初めて牛を見ました。汽車に運ばれる牛が涙目で悲しそうでした。おばあちゃんが今からお肉になるから泣いてると教えてくれました。幼いころは生きている牛と食べている牛肉が結びついてなかったのですね。ショックでしたね。
それから、牛肉が食べられなくなりました。
今では、どんなお肉も食べられません。
気になった単語 sentient being ですが、sentientは形容詞で感覚がある、beingは存在。 となるとhuman being のhumanは人間らしいという形容詞なんですね。
a human disasterは人が起こした災いで人災。名詞のhuman は「人、人間」。 胎児は人であるが、人間ではないのでhumanであり、human beingではないそうです。(+o+)
