骨折でリオのオリンピックには出場できず、5年も使わなければならなかったギブスに目標を書く。念願の 金メダルを親友とシェアする。意味があるGoldsだ。
Olympic High Jumpers Decide to Share Two Golds
高跳び選手、オリンピック金メダルを二人でシェアする
Rather than have a tie-breaker to decide a single winner, two Olympic high jumpers have decided to share two gold medals.
ひとりの勝者を決めるための同点決勝試合ではなく、二人の高跳び選手は金メダルをシェアすることを決めた。
Qatar's Mutaz Essa Barshim, 30, and Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi, 29, each completed six jumps up to 2.37 meters high. Next was 2.39 meters, the Olympic record. But after three attempts, neither could do it.
ふたりの選手は6回のジャンプで2.37ｍまで飛び越えた。
次は2.39ｍでオリンピック記録だった。
しかし、3回トライしたが飛び越えることはできなかった。
The two athletes were given the option to break the tie with a jump-off.

Barshim nodded and Tamberi immediately accepted, jumping into Barshim's arms.

Barshim said he knew how well he had performed, and that he believed he deserved the gold medal.

Tamberi broke his ankle just before the Rio Olympics, and was not able to compete.
