２０２２ユーロビジョンコンテスト決勝戦で勝利の女神がほほ笑んだのウクライナのグループ。曲は伝統的なメロディーとラップとの掛け合いが新鮮ですね。なんと母に向けて書いた歌詞の”何があっても家に戻ってくるよ”が、ロシア侵略が始まり、ウクライナの兵士や市民の思いに重なってしまった。
だから東欧で生まれた”百万本のバラの花”も好きだ。日本人に通じるものがあるのかも。

Ukraine Wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2022
ユーロビジョンソングコンテスト、ウクライナのグループが優勝
Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra has won the Eurovision Song Contest, a clear show of-明確である support for the group's war-torn nation that goes beyond music.
ウクライナのバンドKalush Orchestraは、ユーロビジョンソングコンテストで優勝を果たした。音楽を越えて、戦火で引き裂かれた国を支援しているのは明確だ。
The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual singing competition which includes performers from European countries, as well as Israel and Australia. Points are awarded by national juries and the public, with each making up 50% of the final result.
毎年恒例のソングコンテストで、ヨーロッパからの演奏者と、イスラエル、オーストラリアも含む。得点は国際審査員と一般の人が与える。どちらも50%の持ち点。
This year, the song "Stefania" beat 24 other performances after receiving 439 public votes, the highest number ever received in a Eurovision contest.
今年は、曲目"Stefania"が24の参加グループを 抜いて一般人から429票、史上初の投票数を勝ち取った。
This put Kalush Orchestra above the UK's Sam Ryder, who was in first place after the jury votes from 40 countries.

Lead singer Oleh Psiuk thanked everyone who voted.

"Stefania" was written by Psiuk for his mother, but since Russia's invasion it has become an anthem for Ukraine, with lines that promise: "I'll always find my way home, even if all roads are destroyed."

The band mixes traditional and modern styles of music as a way of promoting and defending Ukrainian culture. This( has become even more important as through-あたかもーのように its invasion)Russia has tried to falsely state that Ukraine doesn't have its own unique culture.

Italy hosted the event after local band Måneskin won the 2021 contest in the Netherlands. Russia was not allowed to take part, a decision organizers said was intended to keep politics out -排除するof the contest that encourages friendship between nations.
オランダで開催された2021年、地元のバンド Måneskin が優勝をかざり、翌年はイタリアで開催された。ロシアの参加は認められなかった。この決定は、コンテストに政治的策略に絡んだ国を入れないと言う意図がある。国同士の友好を深めるためのコンテストだから。
In a Facebook post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confidently said that Ukraine will host the 2023 contest: "Our courage impresses the world, our music conquers Europe. Next year, Ukraine will host Eurovision."
